Simple File Sharing? Network Magic is Your Answer... Not Vista.

You'd think that we'd be reaching a point where it would be easy to share a file between two computers in your home or small business. Sadly, with Vista we seem to be moving back in time. File sharing used to be hard enough with Windows XP. Throw a few Vista computers into the mix and you’re in for a long slog through a morass of pain. Don't even think about sharing files between a Mac and any PC.

Yes, as long as all of your computers are sharing a single router, Network Magic will discover and display all of them - PCs and Macs. There is also a Mac product coming soon (later this summer) that installs on Mac computers and allows you to easily share printers and files, and monitor your Internet connection and repair it if needed.

I just download network magic to try to share a lexmark printer that's hooked up to vista with a xp pro hooked up wireless and the xp pro will not see the printer. I have network magic on both computers.

Hi there,

I'd download the latest version of Network Magic (http://www.networkmagic.com/download/) and give it another try. You also may be having a firewall issue.

Feel free to contact our support team at http://www.networkmagic.com/support/ (Ask Support a Question link) if you need additional help.

I purchased Network Magic recently and love it. I have been trying for years to get Windows XP to network without success. I now have 4 PCs and 2 printers networked without any real difficulty.
I highly recommend it.

In my Router itsn`t possible the IP xxx.xxx.x.0 and also xxx.xxx.x.255 Is it possible the user indicates to Network magic the IP`s. I have also disable DHCP to segurity.

I think this is a good idea.

Thanks

I have used your product on XP for about a year now. I just bought an Vista computer, do I dare start attaching it like I did all my XP machines? TIA.
