Network Magic 5.0 is Here!
The past few months have been a busy and exciting time. We've added several new features to Network Magic that we think our users will really like - especially parents. Many of us are parents of small and teenaged children and we know the computer and Internet is a wonderful tool for keeping in touch with friends, helping with homework, and exploring the world outside of our living rooms; but we know that with this access comes responsibility and worries. That's why we've added some exciting new monitoring controls to Network Magic:
Control Internet Access - allows you to control the times of day users on your network can access the Internet. You can completely block the Internet from a specific computer, leave Internet access open, or schedule specific times of the day in advance when Internet access is restricted. This is perfect for parents of kids who like to log on late at night.
Desktop Screenshots - When a user is on a computer in your network, you can take a real-time screenshot of that computer's desktop and see exactly what the user is doing this minute. You can take screenshots at any time, or you can schedule them to be taken at specific intervals during the day.
Network Magic Password - allows you to password-protect Network Magic's Monitor and Control features so that other users on your network can't access them. These features include wireless protection settings, network configuration settings, network history information, Network Reports, and more. Remember those children who use your computer? This feature can save lots of time trying to undo accidental network configuration changes done by your 10 year old!
These new features, combined with more robust Network Reports, give you an easy way to control, monitor, and stay informed about what users on your network are doing on their computers. Go beyond simple monitoring – Network Magic 5.0 gives you control over when users can access the Internet and allow you to see what a users are doing "right now" on their computer.
Upgrade to Network Magic 5.0 today and see what's new!

I don't even know if this will be seen, but, here goes ..
I had a hard drive crash last weekend. We fixed all the errors, but I needed to reinstall Network Magic. They wanted me to pay for the 5.5 version, but I already had Network Magic Essentials 4.9, so I installed that, but it looks different from the version I had.
The other PC is also running Network Magic from the SAME activation key and that PC has 5.1 on it. I can't seem to find 5.1 anywhere, I can only upgrade to 5.5.
Suggestions?

Sorry to hear about your hard drive crash... I would suggest contacting our tech support group, they can help you sort this out. They can get you the correct version bits so you can install the same version on all of your PC's. You can contact them at:

Don't install Network Magic 5. You will loose your net2go website!
------------------------------------------
This is true, Network Magic 5.0 no longer supports Net2Go. If you use Net2Go and want to continue doing so, you will not want to upgrade to Network Magic 5.0 and should continue using your current version. Net2Go will continue to be supported on 4.x versions only. For more information, see the FAQs on the Network Magic Web site: http://www.purenetworks.com/product/pro.php

When I first found 'Network Magic' I had it on 3 computers and loved it. One day I was trying out a tool in my downloads and I mistakingly got a bogus reading on the install footprint of the product and immediately uninstalled it. After a week without 'Network Magic' I just had to take another look, I had rapidly became attached to the simplicity of 'Network Magic' and trying to share files , printers and control over my 4 computer network without it was a mess. I have 2 desktops, 2 laptops, 4 different OS formats and the other peripherals that make up a small network.
Today I have everything running and communicating perfectly. The install and setup is very straightforward, and the interface is extremely precise and user friendly, it does not leave you guessing.
Try the trial and see how easy it is to share on your network without pulling out your hair trying to share through the Windows interface. This product does what it claims, no system drain and,oh yeah it's footprint is quite small for everything it does, only 18+MB.
Get it!

Hi, i purchased NM 5 about two days ago and, so far, thing's are working...eh...sort of great. Lately I have had some trouble activating NM via activation code which i received after purchase and after two days of no connection, I managed to connect by Lan cable, but that's the only way it seems to me. Can I get some advice or somethin?
thanx,
nessa
