The Technical Head of Household
We have a term we refer to on the Product team as "the THH" or the "Technical Head of Household".
This is a term we made up to describe our primary end-user that we focus Network Magic around. Our marketing team defines our "technical head of households" (and yes... that probably means you if you're reading this...) as people that fit a profile similar to the following:
- HIT (Home IT Administrator)
- Predominately Male (70%+)
- Purchase driver/user may be Female HH
- Approximately 40 yrs old
- 65% married
- $70K income
- 3- 4 PCs in the home
- Tech Savvy
- Researches online (Google), shops at retail
- Internet access via Cable
- Spends heavy on technology
- 16 million in the US
We also recognize that many of our THH's wear many "THH hats"... you can be a THH for a number of different people:
- You can be a THH for yourself
- You can be a THH for your family or other home users
- You can be a THH for a friend or relative
Boy. That's a lot to soak in when you decide how to slice a particular feature.
